The Islamic Civilization

A tinge from the Islamic civilization, which laid down the foundation for the european renaissance. This board includes paintings, images, ancient manuscripts, art, articles, books, calligraphy, architectural ideas, etc. It’s a window to a 1000 years civilization that’s never mentioned or depicted properly in the western media.

Arabs—after the advent of Islam—developed a great civilization joining the peoples of Spain and North Africa in the west with people of India and China in the east passing by the ancient lands of Egypt, Sham, Mesopotamia and Arabia. It was faith that brought this empire together, unifying its people as one nation with one spiritual language and one religion. The 1000 years from the 8th to 17th century A.D. marked a period in history when culture and learning flourished in the Islamic Empire. At the time when Europe was mostly nothing but mud huts, illiterate peasants, and barbaric fighting nations of Romans, Britains, Danes, Saxons, Angles, Franks, etc.; in the Islamic Empire, new discoveries were made, new sciences were developed, arts were enhanced beyond what words can say, and the heritage of the past was preserved. The pins of this board are nothing but a trial to bring what’s stated closer to the readers’ minds. I hope you would flip top to bottom, share, and follow this board. Honestly, if you have no idea about the Islamic civilization and its contribution to the human heritage, you are ignorant of half of your own history.
